resultIndex は SpeechRecognitionEvent のインターフェイスの読み取り専用プロパティで、 SpeechRecognitionResultList 「配列」の中で最も小さな添字を結果として返します。

SpeechRecognitionResultList オブジェクトは配列ではありませんが、配列構文でアクセスできるようにゲッターがあります。
